Customer Visits Across West Africa

Just a few weeks ago Dando Drilling was carrying out customer training visits across West Africa.

First stop was Ghana where it provided training for a mining company’s newly acquired Dando Terrier. Supplied with interchangeable percussive and rotary masts and capable of angle drilling, the small, versatile Terrier rig will be used for calculating gold reserves and grade control. It will be carrying out a variety of drilling methods including duplex drilling, coring and tricone bit drilling.

Leg 2 of the trip was to commission an exploration company’s Jackal 4000 in Burkina Faso. Supplied with a booster compressor, the compact yet powerful rotary rig is set up for conducting wireline coring, reverse circulation drilling and more. Acquired for a similar purpose to that of the mining company in Ghana, it will be calculating gold reserves and grade control across the customer’s mine sites in Burkina Faso.
