Sonic SDC375 for Copper Exploration in Chile

Dando has received photos and feedback from a Sonic SDC375 customer using their rig for copper exploration in Chile.

At altitudes of 2000-3000m, the machine has been drilling dry holes to 60m deep in tailings to improve copper extraction. The customer is drilling a hole per shift, coring 3m ahead of the casing with their own custom TC bits.

Using the sonic drilling technique, the Dando Sonic SDC375 is a multipurpose rig suitable for a wide range of drilling applications, including mineral exploration, water well and geotechnical drilling. Its compact, powerful design, featuring the industry leading Sonicor 50K rotary head, offers great flexibility and it is even capable of fitting inside a standard container for easy transportation.
